The picture: Pentagram Rising started as just a doodle - sort of killing time. It was made using a fractal art background, and
integrating a 3D pentagram (I always called it a pentacle, but was told by someone in the know that a pentacle is a five pointed star in
a circle, the object I used is called a pentagram - learn something new every day!) I mirrored the form and deleted some of of it to
make it look as if it´S rising out of the water, the mirrored image had some work done like deleting and less opaqueness plus
smearing to make it look like a reflection. The whole thing took me about an hour - I always find those are the best :-).
I have been drawing and painting in oils and watercolors for nearly three decades and have never officially "studied" art, then
disovered the PC and graphic design when a 580 MB harddrive was huge, 8 MB RAM was a lot, and you had to tweak your
autoexec.bat for every new game or program you wanted to try out. Which would have been around 1998 - 99.
I started to design IncrediMail stationery in 2001, and opened a site using mainly our paintings to drive some traffic to our art sites
(my husband is an airbrusher, there´S my Rainbow Art, his "normal paintings" at Airbrush Alley, and his pin-up site at Gunmans´Art).
The site at Rainbow Design soon grew to a large freebie site for PSP brushes, IM stationery and tiled backgrounds. It´S still up and
sends traffic to all my Internet ventures.
Bio/Info: I´m a 56 year old wife, mother and double grandma, working by day in a firm that specializes in industrial waste removal to
earn the
money I spend at night on my hobbies :-).
I am German and we live in Germany - my husband of 38 yrs is a Brit (as is our son). I have been drawing and painting in oils and
watercolors for nearly three decades and have never officially "studied" art, then disovered the PC and graphic design when a 580
MB harddrive was huge, 8 MB RAM was a lot, and you had to tweak your autoexec.bat for every new game or program you wanted
to try out. Which would have been around 1988 - 89. I started to design IncrediMail stationery in 2001, and opened a site using

In 2005 I discovered CafePress and a great way of selling mine and my husband´S paintings online without trouble our up-front cost. I
soon discovered why artists starve - so I turned to designing t-shirts, which paid off quite well. Soon I ran out of things to use, bought
several commercial licenses for poser tubes - and thought "I can do that". So for about 1 1/2 years I have been dabbling in 3D. I use
mainly Daz Studio - I own Poser 7 but the learning curve is steep - I hope one day I´ll have time enough to learn, because every time I
buy content I think "I can do that!"(and you heard what that started before!).
I also work with Bryce 6, but my humble PC takes too long for a decent render, so I´m saving up for a third one, plus a Wacom tablet
so I can do what I really want with the renders! I became disgruntled with the changes Cafepress made (and continue to make) in
early 2007, when I opened several other online shops, the latest being my Rainbow Art gallery at Zazzle where I´ve been since March
now, opening another two galleries since (PODing is addictive ...). I bought another domain which is now hosting a portal to all my
shops, the T-Shirt Total site at tshirt-total.com
